Last year I got to photograph this dreamy blue eyed boy in this same spot with "Lenny" the VW bus for his newborn pictures. It's hard to believe that he is already one! I am so excited that Mom and Dad want to continue on with this little tradition that we started and do it every year. Her big brother is one of the sweetest boys I have ever met and you can just tell how much he loves his little sister. I feel so blessed and honored when old friends contact me to photograph their beautiful families. I have known this beautiful momma for over 10 years and seeing her brought back so many fun memories. Having Jen in my classes freshmen year made everyday fun! The last time I had seen Jen, we were both at the doctors, pregnant with our little girls. Hard to believe that six years had passed and our babies are in kindergarten and her little guy isn't so little anymore :)

Jen...you are a wonderful mother and you can see it in the hearts of your beautiful fun loving free spirited children. Thank you for choosing me to photograph you and your beautiful babies!

One reason why I love Facebook is reconnecting with old friends. I have reconnected with so many people that were apart of my past in some way. This sweet little ones mom and I grew up together and we were even bridesmaids in our dear friend Dana's wedding together many years ago. She is such a wonderful mom and you can see it in her daughter...the love they have for each other is beautiful. I do have to share though that she wasn't so into me...if I got to close she would yell "stop". I had a hard time holding in the laughter :)
Oh and by the way...her cute dress was made by the very talented Katie Dixon of Lullaby Birds.

I love being able to reconnect with old friends from back in the day. This little guys mommy and I went to school together and we had not seen each other in about 10 years. It was great catching up and meeting the two loves of her life. Melissa you are still as beautiful as I remember and I look forward to watching your little guy grow up. Happy first birthday Brody!!

This little guy didn't want to go to sleep at first...I am glad he didn't :) While momma was rocking him to sleep I saw this old tire in the backyard and I knew I just had to use it. I asked dad if the tire was pretty gross and he replied nope, I will clean it up for you and throw it in your trunk if you want it. I then told him what I wanted to do and he gave me a weird look and said your the photographer I will let you do your thing...I am so glad they did!

The weather was just perfect for my nephews 1st birthday party! The kids had a blast swimming and running around and Ty just couldn't get enough of his cake! My sis-n-law put together the cutest "sock monkey" party...She did an amazing job!
